For the last photo task, we had to create our own twenty second animation (20 seconds minimum) on Adobe After Effects. We chose our own audio clip and worked on AE with just text. The audio clip I decided to use is the Prime Ministers speech from the film Love Actually (2003). I wanted to make my animation serious. You can read in this post about my research on animation and how it isn’t just for children.
So I wanted the animation to be aimed at an older audience, to do this I kept to three colours, white, blue and red. (The colours of GB flag).
I also used black at the end to make a statement.
I found this task quite hard, as you can read from my latest post on AE, I found it very time consuming. It took me a good few hours to get my head around it again, having only done four hours of practice before. I then continued working on it for a few days, making it fit with the audio clip.
